BORNO, NIGERIA – On Monday, April 28, 2025, a devastating attack attributed to Boko Haram occurred along the Rann-Kala Balge to Gamboru Ngala road in Borno State, Nigeria.

The incident involved a series of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) that detonated as civilian vehicles passed, resulting in the deaths of at least 26 individuals, including four women and six children.

Three others sustained injuries and were promptly evacuated to nearby medical facilities for treatment.

Truth Live News gathered that security analyst Zagazola Makama reported that the convoy of vehicles was unaware of the strategically buried explosives along the roadside.

The IEDs were triggered by the movement of the vehicles, leading to immediate and severe casualties.

Emergency response teams arrived swiftly to carry out evacuations and assist the wounded, while security forces have since
cordoned off the area and initiated clearance operations to prevent further incidents.

This attack is part of a disturbing pattern of Boko Haram’s use of IEDs in Borno State.
