These are certainly not good times for the Cross River State Chapter of the ruling All Progressive Congress, as the soaring popularity of the Governorship candidate of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Sandy Onor has yet again dealt a devastating blow to sinking ruling party in the state as thousands of their members moved to join Onor in the PDP.
Senator Professor Sandy Ojang Onor, who currently represents Cross River central in the Nigerian Senate received the defectors with warm handshakes and assured them of fair and equal treatment while in the PDP.
Among the Decampees were the Former Chapter Chairman Ferdinand Arop and his hundred of supporters in Ikom LGA.
According to them, “we have today dumped the broom party, because of peanut and declare total support for Senator Sandy Onor.”
