CALABAR: The Hope Waddell Training Institution’s Parent Teachers Association (PTA) has launched 2025 PTA calendar during the 2024 Teacher’s Day Celebration.
Speaking at the ceremony which held at the institution Assembly Hall Complex. The chairman of the occasion and Commissioner for Water Resources Barr Bassey Mensah, described PTA as a magnificent force to be reckoned with in the development and empowerment of the institution and teachers as a whole.
Barrister Mensah seeked partnership between PTA and the Old Students Association in the area of infrastructure development in the institution.
Meanwhile, the Royal Father of the day, His Royal Majesty, Prof. Itam Hogan Itam, Nyam Nnakor I, Muri Munene of the Efut Nation and Paramount Ruler of Calabar South, observed a reward system put together by the PTA and noted that will help in motivating the teachers.
Barrister Efio-Ita Ephraim, the National President, Hope Waddell Training Institution affirmed that the PTA reward system for teacher’s will enable them work harder.
Represented by the Assistant National Secretary, Hope Waddell Old Student Association, Mr. Okang Ngim, described the reward system as motivating factor in encouraging the teachers to put in their best.
In his address, the PTA Chairman, Mr. Efoli Esuku explained Association’s choice of the World Teacher’s Day.
“Moreover, is always organized biennially in the school as a way of giving back and rewarding teachers for their hardwork,” he said.
