36 Soldiers Killed In Niger State Says Defense Headquarters

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has disclosed that no fewer than 36 officers were killed in Niger State in a recent attack.

This was made known by the Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba while giving a breakdown of casualties in the recent ambush of troops in the Niger state.

According to him, the helicopter that crashed on August 14, 2023 was on evacuation mission.

Buba said at least three officers, 22 soldiers were killed during the ambush on troops last Sunday with seven soldiers severely wounded.
