There was palpable in Ankpa town of Kogi state on Tuesday after robbers stormed banks in the area killing five persons and leaving several others injured.
One of the victims- young lady- who was simply identified as Ummi was shot dead during the attack.
The robbers who came in several cars, buses and motorbikes shot sporadically into the air causing residents to scamper for safety.
Three Banks were reportedly robbed including First Nank, Zenith Bank and UBA.

According to eye an witnesses, after robbing banks for about over an hour, they drove violently but steadily out of Ankpa with unending gunshots.

Truthlive.net gathered that the robbers gained access into the banking hall after blowing up the entrance of the bank using explosives.
It was learnt that the explosion killed many and injured several others injured
“They left through Okpo road, but no one knows their destination as the shots were too heavy”.
