The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Iyorcha Ayu, has described Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State as an asset to the party.
The Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communication to the embattled national chairman, Yusuf Dingyadi acknowledged the contributions and importance of Governor Wike to the party during an interview with reporters in Kaduna on Tuesday, 4th October.
Dingyadi said Governor Wike is one of the leaders who has contributed immensely to the party and has helped to rescue the opposition party from crises.
He pointed out that Ayu did not wish to see the party in crisis, adding that efforts are been made to address individual differences that will lead the party to victory in the 2023 elections.
Dingyadi said since Ayu took over as the chairman of the party, he has made tremendous progress in building the party in all 36 States including Abuja.
He said: “Nigerians need to know that PDP has a mechanism for reconciliation in place and the mechanism has been trying to reconcile those who are not happy since the conclusion of our primaries.
“We are trying to see that everyone is giving a fear hearing. As we speak, the local reconciliation committee is meeting with party members at the state level to discuss issues and find solutions to those issues.
