Oseni Rufai, Nigerian journalist and public speaker, has asked whether Governor Nyesom Wike, Governor Ifeanyi Ugauanyi, and other PDP governors that were not at the PDP Uyo campaign deliver their states for PDP.
Oseni Rufai while giving his view about the PDP campaign in Uyo, asked the question during the morning show program on Arise News
Recall that the PDP opposition party flagged their 2023 presidential campaign in Uyo on Monday, October 10th, and the party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and his running mate, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, were in attendance, but the Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike, Governor Ugwuanyi, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State and Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State were conspicuously absent.
Oseni said finally, PDP has started their campaign in Uyo and that one need not be told that the Uyo state governor is part of the Atiku campaign.
He observed that it’s like PDP has moved on from the Wike matter but the optics, according to him, was not right. He said out of 13 governors, 5 were out, and the PDP is a party that wants to win a national election. He said PDP is a party that is disunited as at now but maybe it’s going to solve the Wike matter. Time will tell.
Oseni then said that PDP is moving on but not at the expected pace because of the Wike matter. However, he asked, ” Will these governors, Wike, Ugwuanyi, and others that are not there in Uyo, would they deliver their state for the PDP?”
