Governor Wike Inaugurates HyperCity Mall
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike inaugurated HyperCity supermarket and officially opened it for business on Wednesday, October 12th.
The shopping mall is located at the Eastern By-pass Junction Ogbu-nu-Abali Community in Port harcourt.
The Governor is delighted that measures taken by his administration to make the state an investment destination is yielding results.
Wike said, the land on which the supermarket is built use to be a mangrove forest and a hideout for criminals and Terrorists.
He noted how attractive the area became to the honor of HyperCity supermarket who has today established its venture there.
Governor Wike further stated that his administration is interested in anything that will attract investment and create jobs for Rivers people
He said “first of all, we all recall the fact that what we are seeing today is not what use to be here.
“Here use to be a mangrove forest where criminals will commit crime and then run into here and hide but government took it upon themselves to say we will not allow that.
“We owe the economy of the state to grow, we owe security of business men and women and security of community.”
