The officials of the Nigerian Army in search of their abducted colleague, Sergeant Bassey Ikunugwan, raided the hideouts of the Indigenous People of Biafra/Eastern Security Network in Amangu Community, Abia State on Wednesday November 9, 2022.
The Nigeria Army made this known in a statement released on Wednesday 9th November 2022 to clarify the misinformation going viral that the Nigerian army invaded Amangu community in Abia State. The statement revealed that Ikunugwan, who was on leave, was abducted on November 2 along the Okwu-Ebem Ohafia Road and the raid was to find him.
During the raid, weapons, mobile phones, a motorcycle, INEC equipment, and other items were recovered.
