Elder Fred Udeogu, former Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ebonyi State, has discribed as a big, fat lie, recent insinuations in the state that he has defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The rumor mill the South East state had gone on an overdrive barely 24 hours after Mr Udeogu’s kinsman, a former Minister of Culture and Tourism, Amb. Frank Ogbuewu, reportedly dumped the PDP for the APC.
But reacting, on Saturday, the PDP chieftain denied ever defecting from PDP, saying it was the handiwork of mischief makers and political jobbers.
“It’s not true. How can that be? Why would I leave the PDP for any party currently? As far as I’m concerned, the allegation is baseless,” he said
Udeogu, who is a member of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council, added, “I have not left. I have not moved. I’m still very strong with the PDP as a party, has not done me any wrong.
