The remains of Bamise Ayanwola, the 22-year-old lady who was found dead after boarding a bus belonging to Bus Rapid Transport Scheme, in February, has been buried at the Atan cemetery in Lagos State.

Late Bamise filmed herself in a BRT bus in Lagos on Saturday, February 26, 2022 after getting suspicious of the driver’s movement. She had taken a BRT bus with the number 240257 from Chevron bus stop, Lekki, headed to Oshodi at about 7.pm on her way home from work.

In the video, she asked that prayers should be said for her because her mind is not at rest. She explained that the driver didn’t pick anyone else after picking her up.

She never made it home and that was the last her loved ones heard from her. Her body was later found by the roadside.

The driver of the bus, Andres Nice is currently undergoing trial.
