Gunmen Kill CBN Staff, Wife, Abduct Others In Ogun State

Unknown gunmen have reportedly murdered a staff of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Kehinde Fatinoye, his wife, kidnap their son and maid on New year, in Ogun State

Truth Live News gathered that the incident occured at early hours on sunday after cross over, immediately the couple returned from church. The couple were killed and set ablaze by unknown gunmen inside their house.

It was gathered that the wife until her death was the Principal Confidential Secretary at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, FUNAAB.
Also, the couple’s son and domestic staff were reportedly taken away by the gunmen.

Abimbola Oyeyemi, the spokesperson to Ogun State police confirmed the incident, said:
“It is true the incident happened. Investigation has commenced. Somebody has been arrested in connection with the incident. The man and his wife were killed and we are yet to find their child who was taken away”

“The incident happened after 12 in the morning. This is a clear case of assassination and we are not leaving any stone unturned to unravel those behind the killings”

Also reacting to the incident was the spokesperson of FUNAAB, Kola Adepoju. He described the sudden death of the couple as ‘gruesome and a rude shock’ to the university community.

Also speaking was cousin to the late Mr Fatinoye, Ambrose Somide, said he could not fathom what was responsible for the dastardly act.
