Hisbah, Medical Expert Reacts To Viral Video of Cows Being Fed With Beer

The Commander of Hisbah in Kano state, Harun Ibn Sina has urged Muslims in the country not to despair or avoid eating beef due to a viral video showing that they are being feed with beer by some cattle rearers.

A viral video showed were a cattle rearer was feeding cows with beer with the claim that it makes them fat and healthy.

In the video seen by Truth Live News, a young cattle rearer pouring beer into a bucket could be heard saying he is about to feed his cattles with beer as usual while fielding questions in Hausa language from another person who was filming him.

Asked what the purpose benefit of feeding cattles with beer was he said, he said it make them fat and healthy.

According to him, he is not the only one who carries out this practice as several other cattle rearers do.

Meanwhile, reacting to the development which is already generating concern amongst Muslims in the north Sina in a voice message BBC News Pidgin urged muslims to continue to eat cow meat without fear as they are not sinful even though tahe cows drink beer.

He said, “I like many others saw the video where cows were being fed with beer but I want to make muslims know that that doesn’t make them sinful if they eat beef.”

According to him, “Imam Malik our spiritual leader has discuss this kind of issue long ago and clarified that there is no sin in it.”

“Also, Mallam Jassas said, if one has a goat that drank beer and was slaughtered Muslims are permitted to eat the meat because it has no effect on the meat or milk of the animal.”

Truth Live News reports that Sharia law which is praticed in the North mostly by Muslim faithfuls consider it to drink beer or any alcoholic drinks at all.

In the same vein it was gathered that it has not been scientifically proven that feeding cattles with beer makes them health or fat.
