Tottenham Hotspur have received rejection from Sporting CP over formula for signing their Spanish right-back, Pedro Porro on a permanent deal.
Sporting CP who triggered Porro’s release clause of €45m last year May have rejected Tottenham’s deal of adding a player plus money for the Spaniard.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Sporting are rigid in their stance as they want only the €45m release clause for the player nothing more.
The Premier League side, Tottenham have been reported to have had the player in their top list for winter signing as negotiations will continue.
Tottenham manager, Antonio Conte is keen on working with the 23-year-old right back who can also play as a right winger in Conte’s popular tactical 3-4-3.
He said, “Tottenham have made an opening bid for Pedro Porro including one player plus guaranteed money. Sporting have rejected this formula.
Negotiations will continue as Sporting keep asking €45m clause but Spurs are insisting with player keen on move.”
