Manchester City are set to complete the signing of Argentina wonderkid, Maximo Perrone who plays as an offensive midfielder for Argentinian side, Vélez Sarsfield.
Manchester City manager, Pep Guadiola is reported to have shown keen interest in the Argentina’s 20-year-old starlet who is currently with the Argentina U20 side at the South American U20 Championship.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Argentina youngster is expected to join the reigning Premier League champions after the tournament.
Perrone, whose current deal at Vélez expires on 31 December 2023, has a buyout clause of €7.3 million.
He said, “Manchester City are set to complete the signing of Máximo Perrone from Vélez — deal at contract stages soon and here we go confirmed.
Perrone will join City right after the Sudamericano Sub-20, as expected.”
