Presnel Kimpembe, a France defender, has revealed that he was not informed of Paris Saint-decision Germain’s to make Kylian Mbappé vice-captain at his expense.

Kimpembe, on the other hand, has stated that he will always respect the decision, despite reports that a fallout is brewing in the dressing room.

Mbappe was given the armband in the absence of first-team captain Marquinhos and deputies Presnel Kimpembe and Marco Verratti in the match on Monday, where he scored five goals.

PSG head coach Christopher Galtier, on the other hand, revealed that Mbappe has been the vice-captain since the summer and that it was simply standard procedure for him to lead in the absence of the team captain.

Many people have been taken aback by Galtier’s claims, particularly Kimpembe, who has been second in command in recent years.

On Tuesday, Kimpembe took to social media to reveal that he was not informed of his demotion and instead learned of Mbappe’s promotion through social media.

“In the last few hours I have been able to hear and read a lot about myself,” he wrote on his official social media accounts.

“I therefore wish to make things clear in order to avoid continuing to spread false information in this regard. “I was not made aware of this decision, this is completely false… That said, I will always respect the decisions of the club.”
