Fire Guts Bus Conveying Containers Of Fuel In Warri

A costa bus, conveying containers loaded with products suspected to be fuel has been razed by fire at the popular McDermott Junction in Warri.

The source of the fire disaster was not immediately known, but it was learnt that it was caused by a spark.

The fire also burnt scores of high tension wires in the area.

An eye witness revealed that residents fought hard to prevent the ravaging fire from spreading to the surrounding buildings in the area.

The driver of the ill fated vehicle was said to have luckily jumped out for safety through the window of the bus, sustaining some injuries.

The Oghwuvwie of the Agbarha Warri Community of Igbudu , Ambassador Kennedy Okere, who spoke to newsmen, called on the owner of the costa bus to effect repairs on the cable wires that were burnt without any delay in order to restore electricity to the area.
