Guinea Bissau will play its home game in the 2023 (now 2024) Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, qualifier against Nigeria, in Morocco after it secured Moroccan venue for the game.

Nigeria will host Guinea Bissau on March 20 before a reverse fixture seven days later which the Guineans have secured Moroccan venue for.

The two-legged matches are the match-days three and four of the qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations slated for January 2024.

Recall that CAF failed to approve any venue in the country for that reversed fixture, warranting the country to make frantic search for the alternative venue before the February 7 deadline given by the continental governing body

According to information obtained from their local media, the federation approached the Federation of Morocco Football to have its home game in the North African country and the approval has been secured.

Guinea-Bissau is placed second behind Nigeria with four points and Super Eagles maintained the top spot with a maximum of six points from two games.
