Labour Party LP Senatorial candidate for Enugu East Senatorial District, Barrister Oyibo Chukwu has been shot and killed in Enugu on his way back from a political event trip, yesterday night February 22, 2023.
Oyibo who was a trained lawyer, was killed by the unknown gunmen and the vehicle he was in, was set ablaze by the vile men, after they killed him.
He was contesting the position with Chimaroke Nnamani of the People’s Democratic Party PDP and Ada Ogbu of the All Progressive Congress APC. It was reported that Oyibo was growing in popularity in his constituency before he was murdered.
