The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, says it would issue Certificates of Return to Governors-elect on March 29, 2023.
It announced that the presentation is scheduled to take place at their offices in each state of the federation.
The commission made the announcement following a meeting held in Abuja on March 25, 2023.
Information reaching Truth Live News has it that the electoral body has now fixed March 29, Thursday, March 30 and Friday, March 31 for the presentation.
Recall that INEC is mandated by the constitution to issue the Certificate of Return within 14 days.
So far, 26 Governors have been elected across the country.
According to it, specific dates for the issuance of the certificates will be communicated to those elected by the Resident Electoral Commissioners RECs, and Administrative Secretaries of the various states.
