Former Senate President and Secretary to Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim, has asked the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) National Working Committee (NWC) to take their accusing fingers elsewhere for performing poorly in the just concluded presidential and national assembly elections rather than looking for another persons to blame for their failures
Also suspended were former Governor of Enugu State, Chimaroke Nnamani; Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom and former Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose
The PDP said Anyim and others were suspended for allegedly engaging in anti-party activities.
But Anyim in a message on Friday, called the suspension “a cowardly act.”
He said the NWC of PDP was to blame for the party’s dismal showing in the recently held national elections.
Anyim emphasised that it was improper for the NWC to maintain a proud demeanour in the face of the party’s crushing defeat.
