Yahuza Isah and Auwalu Mohammed were sentenced to execution by hanging for the murder of Mohammed Shaibu, a tricycle rider, in Abuja.

Justice Asmau Akanbi-Yusuf of the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Kubwa rendered a decision in the case and stated that, based on the evidence presented, the defendants had a common purpose when they planned to murder and rob the deceased on January 7, 2020.

Isah and Auwalu failed to provide any evidence to dispute the fact that they were detained in association with the crime, according to Akanbi-Yusuf’s ruling.

Mayowa Adefioye, the prosecution’s attorney, established beyond a reasonable question that the crime of conspiracy, armed robbery, and culpable homicide, each punishable by death, had occurred.
