Nigerian Lady who goes by the name Boma Jacks has shared the historic accomplishment that her mother added to her hat.
She claimed that her mother was the first woman in her community of Imo State to receive a doctorate degree(PhD).
When the mother returned home after setting the academic record, the proud daughter claimed that her brothers threw a party for their mother.
Boma made the remark in response to a tweet regarding the parenting styles used by south-east Asian parents to raise their children following the civil war.
She wrote; “This is quite fascinating. My mom was apparently the first woman in her village or LGA (not sure which) in Imo, to bag a PhD & her brothers threw a party to celebrate her. I thought it was absurd at the time, since I grew up in an academic community, but I understand better now.
