The Edo State Government through the Edo State Hospitals Management Agency has threatened to conduct a mass burial for corpses abandoned at the Stella Obasanjo Hospital Mortuary.
It called on the general public, particularly owners of all abandoned corpses at the morgue to come and claim same on or before Friday 5th of May, 2023.
In a Press Statement issued and signed by Dr. Efosa Aisien, Permanent Secretary/Chief Executive of the Agency said all abandoned corpses from before and up to 2022 at the Stella Obasanjo Hospital Mortuary, Benn City will be affected.
The statement reads: “The Edo State Government through the Edo State Hospitals Management Agency hereby inform the general public that there will be a Mass Burial of all Abandoned corpses from before and up to 2022 at the Stella Obasanjo Hospital Mortuary, Benin City.
“Members of the public are by this announcement /publication advised to come and claim their abandoned corpses on or before Friday 5th of May, 2023.
“A mass burial will be carried out on the 10th of May, 2023.”
