Governor Nyesom Wike, of Rivers state has been reportedly proposed Rivers State Government scholarship support for students of University.
Wike made the promise on Tuesday when he performed the foundation laying ceremony of the Senate building of the Wigwe University at Isiokpo in Ikwerre LGA, south south Nigeria.
Although, the Governor is left with only four days to complete his tenure, he was said to have proposed Rivers State Government scholarship support for students of the University.
Truth Live News gathered that the University which houses 200 buildings on 400 hectares of land is aimed to compete with leading global institutions.
It was said to have a target of 40% international and 60% national lecturer in ratio.
