The federal government on Friday launched proposed national carrier, Nigeria Air shortly after arriving at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
The Minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika who performed unveiling ceremony disclosed that thirty aircraft are expected to form the fleet of Nigeria Air in the next five years.
According to him, of the thirty, only one aircraft has arrived.
Senator Hadi Sirika noted that the national carrier would be private-sector driven with the Federal Government holding just a 5% stake while private owners would hold the remaining 95% share in the new airline.
