The governor of Akwa Ibom state and founder, All Nations Christian Ministry International, aka The Lord’s Kitchen, Pastor Umo Eno has hinted that he will change this year’s Christmas Carol festival in the state.
Governor Eno gave the hint on Sunday at a Combined Praise and Worship/ Communion Service held in Eket Local Government Area worship’s Centre of his Church.
Eno who was reportedly said that he will inaugurate a Committee to work towards the successful hosting of 2023 Christmas Carol Festival, said he “likes to localize Christmas Carol.”
While announcing to the congregation, that invitation will be extended mostly to home based churches, the Governor said he will use the platform to raise local talents.
“I want to promote our local talents, so in 2023 Christmas Carol we will look at churches. We will let all the churches get ready, the big and small Churches we will invite them, let all of us come out,” he said.
Among the churches to be invited for the 2023, Christmas Carol festival, the Government House Media Unit, Uyo said they are Apostolic, Qua Iboe, Anglican and Catholic.
At the communion service tagged: “The God of New Beginning” the Governor, reading from Gen 1:1-5, said “any beginning without God is bound to fail.”
He continued, “If we must begin well then God will take the center stage, any beginning that has no God, that beginning is doomed.”
He concluded by saying “beyond the normal hymns, I like to see creativity,” hence, information made available to Truth Live News said invitation will be extended mostly to home based churches to enable them perform at the event.
