The immediate past Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, has officially resigned his membership of the 10th House after serving for 20 years.
Following his resignation, he is expected to resume office as chief of Staff to the president today, Wednesday.
According to report, Truthlive news learnt that his letter of resignation was presented on the floor of the house and read by the newly- sworn in speaker, Tajudeen Abbas on Wednesday.
With Gbajabiamila resignation, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is expected to conduct a fresh election to fill his role.
