Salamat Suleiman, a housewife, has initiated divorce proceedings after being married for two months due to her husband’s health problem.
She informed an Ilorin court that she noticed her husband had a condition resulting in watery sperm. She requested the court to dissolve the marriage, expressing her exhaustion with the relationship.
The husband acknowledged his health issues but argued that the wife also faced health challenges.
Despite this, he professed his love for his wife and pleaded with the court for time to resolve the misunderstanding.
Presiding Judge AbdulQadir Umar advised the wife to approach their health challenges with an open mind and seek medical assistance.
The judge suggested giving the relationship a second chance, emphasizing that all marriages encounter difficulties.
The court adjourned the case until August 28, awaiting either a settlement report or the continuation of the hearing.
