Following the dismissal of over 35 employees of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology in Okitipupa, Ondo State, by the school authority, their colleagues on Wednesday morning staged a protest.
According to information obtained by Truthlive news, it was learnt that all affected employees received their sack letters on Tuesday.
The protesters who frowned at the development on the grounds that the sacked employees were duly employed, issued appointment letters, did all documentation and had worked in the school for over six months, blocked the entrance to the campus and sealed the main gate, making it impossible for anybody to enter or leave.
They promised to keep shutting down all campus activities, both academic and extracurricular, until the management changed its mind.
