The Director-General, World Trade Organization (WTO) Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has urged Nigerians to disregard media reports that she snubbed Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the ongoing leadership summit in Paris, France.

Truth Live News reports that Okonjo-Iweala had come under fire from Nigerians after she shared photos she took at the summit with representatives of the various Nations in attendance but did not post any taken with Tinubu.

The photographs generated a lot of controversies on social media with many accusing her of cropping off the president from the ones she shared.

Reacting to the report via a tweet, the WTO DG urged Nigerians to relax while giving reasons why she is yet to share photos taken with the president.

She wrote: “Nigerians please relax! Re Paris, Interesting attacks from both sides. Sadly shows the depth of polarization in our society.

“I post photos in the order received by accompanying staff or colleagues. Reading more into it is unwarranted. Let’s unite to build our country not attack!”
