On Monday midnight in Zamfara state, terrorists killed at least five people, including four Nigeria Police Force officers.

Truth Live News learnt that the terrorists entered Bungudu local government district and started shooting randomly.

The attackers attacked the village and confronted the officers at a roadblock on Bungudu-Gusau Road.

On Tuesday morning, Zamfara State Police Command spokesperson ASP Yazid Abubakar confirmed the latest incident, stating police officers were killed.

Ibrahim Bungudu, a village resident, told the news outlet that four police officers were killed.

He added that the bandits killed one person in Tagero village in Furfuri, Bungudu LGA.

He said the intruders stole many cattle from Tagero village residents.

“The bandits ambushed the police along Gusau-Bungudu road near Nabature company and killed four. “They also rustled many cattle at Tagero village under Furfuri district, one person was shot in the hand in the village,” Bagudu claimed.

Usman Bungudu, a resident, said armed terrorists killed four police officers on checkpoint duty around midnight.

Police set up a checkpoint on Gusau Road about 12 am. He stated the criminals attacked and shot them before fleeing after killing four officers.
