The governor of Cross River State Sen Bassey Edet Otu have been commended by the DAAR Communications Plc, Owners Of Africa Independent Television (AIT) Ray Power FM DAAR SAT and Faaji FM, for appointing its staff in Calabar.
Governor Otu, on his assumption of office in May, appointed Mr Rasheed Olanrewaju as his Special Assistant On Media and Publicity.
Mr Olanrewaju, who hails from Kwara state, until his appointment was an AIT’s Senior Correspondent in Cross River State.
A letter to the Governor signed by the Group Managing Director of DAAR Communications Tony Akiotu, said with the appointment, Governor Otu, has demonstrated his uncommon detribalize quality as a Nigerian.
Daar management said though from the North Central of Nigeria, finding Olanrewaju worthy of an appointment in Cross River State, South-South Nigeria, is worthy of emulation.
It said Daar Communications Plc will continue to partner with the State Government for the betterment of Cross River people in particular and Nigeria in general.
