The immediate past Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly and member representing Esan West, Esan Central and Igueben Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Marcus Onobun has solicited prayers from constituents and Edo people for speedy recovery.
This was contained in a statement signed by his media aid, Ivy Idodo and made available to newsmen in Benin City.
Truth Live News gathered that the Onobun was bided to travel to Abuja but eventually missed his flight and in a bid to catch up with his schedules, decided to embark on the journey by road.
And while on his way, he had a fatal accident.
Truth Live News gathered that former Speaker is being admitted at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) where he is currently taking treatment.
According to the release by his media aid stating the reason for the prayers “This is as a result of a ghastly accident involving him and his personal staff.
“Rt Hon Marcus Onobun ksc and his personal staff are by the grace of God recuperating from the effect of the accident ,in which they sustained varying degrees of injuries.
“Rt Hon Marcus Onobun ksc is asking for your prayers and respect for his recuperation , calling on all his, family, friends and supporters to remain calm and steadfast as what God cannot do does not exist.”
