A 23-year-old man, Abdulwahab Yusuf has been remanded in custody by Sharia Court in Kano State on Tuesday for allegedly stealing cow skin popularly known as ‘Pomo’.
Yusuf who lives at Tukuntawa Quarters in the state pleaded guilty to stealing cow skin worth N8,500.
The Judge Umar Lawal-Abubakar, adjourned the case until Aug. 22 for summary trial.
The Prosecution Counsel, Insp Abdullahi Wada had informed the court that the complainant, Fatihu Auwal who also resides in Tukuntawa Quarters, reported the matter at the Fagge Police Station, Kano, on Aug. 5.
Wada accused the defendant of entering into the complainant’s stand and stealing the cow skin.
The defendant pleaded guilty to the charge.
