Former Emir of Kano, Khalifa Muhammad Sanusi II, on Wednesday led the President Bola Tinubu’s delegation to meet with the Niger Republic coup leader, General Abdourahmane Tchiani.
During the meeting which held in Niamey, the capital city Niger Republic, the delegation rubbed minds with the military Juncta leadership on the way forward.
Recall that the Economic Community of West African States’ seven-day ultimatum to the military junta to restore ousted President Muhammed Bazoum to office expired on Sunday.
Following the expiration of the deadline, there had been widespread call for an extension as the coup leadership failed to yield to the demand to hand over to the democratically elected government.
