Prominent personalities including Peter Obi, Rochas Okorocha, and Uche Ekwunife were present at a Requiem Mass held in Lagos to honor the memory of the late Senator Annie Okonkwo.
Clement Annie Okonkwo, a notable Nigerian politician and successful business magnate, passed away on June 7, 2023, at the age of 63. He had represented the Anambra Central constituency in the Nigerian Senate, assuming office on May 29, 2007.
A dedicated member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Okonkwo breathed his last in the United States following an extended period of illness, as confirmed by a family insider.
