The Federal high court in Abuja on Wednesday, struck out a joint case filed by George and Okanta Emefiele, the siblings of the suspended Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele, against the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF).
This followed the withdrawal of the case by two after filling a notice of discountenance of the case.
The Emefiele siblings took the AGF and the DSS to court over the infringement on their fundamental human rights on account of issues surrounding the embattled suspended CBN governor.
The AGF and the DSS did not challenge or object to the plaintiffs’ decision to withdraw the lawsuit.
However, the planned arraignment of Emefiele on charges of alleged N6.9 billion procurement fraud at the FCT High Court has been postponed yet again.
