Ahead of coming Bayelsa State governorship election, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has included the Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, as a member of Campaign Council for the poll.
The council is chaired by the Gombe State Governor, Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya. The Minister of Defence, Badaru Abubakar, Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, will serve as co-chairmen.
Wike, who has not resigned as a member of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) following a fallout with the party in the lead-up to the February presidential election, was recently sworn in as a minister by the president. The general public eagerly awaits his reaction.
