The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal has upheld the verdict of INEC that declared Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of the 2023 presidential elections.

The court held that there was not enough evidence presented to upturn the verdict going by Nigeria’s constitution and its right interpretation.

Delivering judgment, Justice Tsamani said: “The petition by Atiku and PDP lacks merit. Having found all 3 petitions to be unmeritorious, I hold that the return of Tinubu as elected President by INEC is right.”

Reacting to his (Justice Tsamani) judgement, Justice Stephen Adah said: “Having been part of the hearing of these petitions, I align myself with the decisions just read by my learned brother. There must always be a winner in an election.”

Justice Mistura Bolaji-Yusuf also established her position, saying, “I concur with the decision just delivered by my learned brother, Jus Tsamani JCA.”

Justice Ugo also reacted: “Why was it impossible for Obi and Atiku to tender a single polling unit result to prove their allegations of manipulations?

“The EU Election observer mission report is valueless. It’s a book anyway and you cannot cross examine books to get to the truth.

“I concur with the lead judgment and hereby dismiss all the 3 consolidated petitions.”

Fifth member of the panel, Justice Abba Mohammed read his own contributory judgment, saying “I also dismiss all the petitions.”

Truth Live News reports that all the 5 member of the panel unanimously agreed that all petitions challenging the victory of Tínubu be dismissed.

Let us also inform you that Atiku’s Lawyer, Chris Uche SAN expressed readiness to appeal the judgement, as he requested for copies of the judgments, with which Justice Tsamani informed him that tomorrow is the date for judgments.
