While addressing Nigerians based in India, President Tinubu expressed gratitude for his journey from a security guard and tutor to the President of Nigeria, attributing it to a good education. He began humbly but excelled academically and joined Deloitte, a prominent global accounting firm, thanks to his education.

While at Deloitte, he inquired about opportunities in Nigeria and eventually joined Exxon Mobil, where he achieved success in various roles, including accountant, auditor-general, and treasurer. He transitioned to politics with a can-do attitude.

President Tinubu shared an inclusive message, assuring all Nigerians that the country can accommodate individuals from any region. He emphasized Nigeria’s vast potential, driven by its rich culture, traditions, and diverse population.

He said “We are here to present a new future to you. A future of a country that is so rich, endowed, and highly populated. Very dynamic, unique in its culture, tradition, and ethnicity. That is what will make our prosperity possible, if only we can make use of our diversity for prosperity”.

He stressed that Nigeria is not lacking in knowledge or human resources but suffers from management and leadership issues. He explained that his presidential run is motivated by the desire to help steer the nation in the right direction.

In summary, President Tinubu’s speech celebrates the transformative power of education and determination, encourages unity among Nigerians, and highlights the potential for prosperity by leveraging the nation’s diversity while addressing leadership challenges.
