Jeezy, an Atlanta rapper, has filed for divorce from his wife of two years, TV anchor Jeanie Mai.

After nearly two and a half years of marriage, Jeezy filed for divorce on Thursday, September 14th, at an Atlanta courthouse. The rapper stated in the filing that “the marriage is irretrievably broken” and that “there is no hope for reconciliation.”

Jeezy, 45, and Mai, 44, married in 2021 after dating for almost two years and welcomed a daughter last year. Jeezy and Jeanie first met when he appeared as a guest on Jeanie’s talk show ‘The Real’ in 2018. They began dating privately soon after, became public in 2019, got engaged in March 2020, and got married in March 2021.

The ex-couple had a prenuptial agreement. Jeezy is requesting joint legal custody of Monaco, their 20-month-old daughter.
