Power Will Be Restored — PHED Promises Cross Riverians Over Lingering Black-out

The Cross River State Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution PhED, Regional Manager, Engr. Gabriel Modupe has assured the State Commissioner, Power & Renewable Energy, Prince Eka Williams that there are plans by the company to restore power to Cross River State.

Engr Modupe gave the assurance when the commissioner visited him in his office in Calabar the state capital.

The manager who expressed optimism that with the collaboration and cooperation of the State Government, through the Ministry of Power & Renewable Energy, Adequate measures will be Taken and Power Will be restored.

Making sure that the issue of Electricity in the State becomes a thing of the past. The Hon Commissioner who was received by the Regional Manager, took time to discuss various issues affecting power distribution in Akamkpa, Biase, Ogoja, Akpabuyo and Bakassi LGAs.

In the emergency meeting held in the manager’s office, the Commissioner was briefed by the manager that the reason for power failure in those areas were vandalisation of transformers, project abandonments and poor infrastructures.

The Renewable Energy Commissioner In his continual meetings with Bodies and organizations that are key Stakeholders and suppliers of Power and Energy in the state thanked the Manager and His Team.

He prayed for more collaboration and a workable relationship where growth can be achieved for the benefit of everyone living in Cross River State.
