100 Days In Office: A’Ibom HoR Member Doles Out N3m To Students For Bursary

As part of activities to mark his 100 days in office, the member representing Ikot Ekpene/Essien Udim/Obot Akara Federal Constituency, Hon. Dr. Patrick Umoh, KSJI has disbursed N3 million Bursary to 150 undergraduate students from his Constituency.

To further encourage the students to immerse themselves in reading and expand their intellectual horizons, with a specific focus on topics related to law, climate change, Hon. Umoh distributed free textbooks he had authored himself.

The Ikot Ekpene/Essien Udim/Obot Akara Federal Constituency, house of representatives member in Akwa Ibom northwest Senatorial District ,South South Nigeria, Friday said the recipients each received a bursary of 20,000 Naira.

He cautioned against deviant behaviours and cultism, saying that true academic achievement is built on a foundation of responsibility and societal contribution.

In their educational journey, Hon Umoh said that the paramount significance are diligence, commitment, and the unceasing pursuit of excellence.

Also speaking, the chairman of the Bursary/Grant Committee, Nsentip Akpabio, expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the committee for a successful outing.

On his part, the Dean of Students Affairs at the Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, who spoke through Mr. Emmanuel Umoh, advised the students to utilise the provided financial support judiciously to address their educational needs.
