Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, has appointed Prince Godwin Ntukudeh, Ph.D as his Political Adviser.

As Honorary Special Adviser (Political) for Ikot Ekpene, Senatorial District, the governor appointed Sir Udo Kerian Akpan.

Arch Bishop Samuel Akpan, was also appointed Honorary Special Adviser (political) for Eket Senatorial District while Rt. Hon (Dr) Henry Archibong was appointed Honorary Special Adviser (Political) for Uyo Senatorial District.

At the swearing in ceremony, the governor being fully aware that the process of selection might not have been perfect, also acknowledged the fact that he knew that some persons might be unhappy.

As he assured them that efforts have been made to accommodate as many people as possible in the running of the state, he quickly called on those appointed to see the appointments as call to service.

In his words, “take this appointment as the grace of God, not that you are better than others,” he added. “You have been brought by grace, and grace will teach you to be humble and disciplined.”

He warned that all the PAs must live within their communities, adding that anyone found living outside his ward, would be relieved of the appointment.

“Follow my footsteps of respect for all and unite people in your ward,” he ordered.

The State Chairman of the People Democratic Party PDP, Elder Aniekan Akpan appreciated the Governor for the gesture and explained that the names were carefully selected from residents within their communities.
