Writeathon: Humanitarian Affairs’ Commissioner Gives Support To Aiguohkian In Calabar

The energy and enthusiasm in the air were contagious as people came together to support this amazing feat, Cross River State Commissioner for Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Dr Helen Isamoh- Egodo said on Saturday, during her visit to Daniel Ehis Aiguohkian.

“It was truly a sight to behold,” she added. “Seeing the young Man (his name) push his limits and strive for greatness was nothing short of inspiring.”

Daniel Ehis Aiguohkian, a Student of University of Calabar and indigene of Edo state kicked off to break the Guinness World Record on Write-a-thon, with a target to write for 188 Hours.

As she visited the 300 Level student of the Department of Philosophy, in company of her incredible team members to witness his Guinness World Record breaking attempt, Dr. Egodo said It reminded her of the power of human determination and the endless possibilities that lie within each of us.

“Haven been a Malabress and obtaining 3 of my university degrees from the Prestigious University of Calabar, Calabar, I was excited to visit my alma-mater when I learnt that the Write-a-thon was holding there.”

“What made this experience even more special,” the Commissioner said. “Was the sense of unity that permeated the atmosphere; Students, lecturers, organizations, from different backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs stood side by side, celebrating the human spirit as one.”

While she explained how In a world where division can sometimes overshadow togetherness, she said events like these serve as a powerful reminder that we are stronger when we stand together.

She advised that we must continue to appreciate incredible individuals who dared to dream big and break barriers, noting that no dream is too big, and no goal is too lofty.

“We are capable of achieving greatness when we come together and support one another.”

She called on other well meaning Cross Riverians and people of goodwill to support Aiguohkian, for his dream when she said “I have given my individual support to Daniel and his team as he continues on this quest.”
