The long awaited Edo State Head of Service Football Competition has finally gotten a commencement date.
According to the circular letter released on Monday obtained by Truth Live News and signed by the competition’s organising committee chairman, Mr Victor Edokoayi, November 2023 has been fixed as when the tournament will begin in Benin city, capital city of Edo state, in South-South Nigeria.
The trophy was donated by Deacon Darlington Okpebholo Ray, Chairman of Truth Live Media Communications LTD, Publishers of Truth Live News, an online media platform.
To ensure the tournament’s success, all Heads of MDAs have been urged to confirm their participation by October 17, 2023, using the provided email address and an attached Excel template. The tournament will be governed by specific rules:
Players must be Civil/Public Servants.
There is no age restriction.
Each team must comprise a maximum of 30 players, with a minimum of 18.
Additionally, each team can bring along 7 officials.
This effort was made in a bid to foster camaraderie and promote physical well-being among its Civil/Public Servants, Edo State.
