The Federal Government has initiated a groundbreaking program to equip 3 million Nigerians with vital technology skills, as revealed by Bosun Tijani, the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy. In an announcement shared on social media, Tijani disclosed the government’s ambitious plan to establish a robust pool of technical talent, dubbed “3MTT,” by 2025.
The primary objective of this initiative is to bolster Nigeria’s position as a net exporter of talent, fostering a climate that nurtures a thriving digital economy. The far-reaching benefits of 3MTT encompass not only economic growth but also the creation of employment opportunities for a yet unspecified number of trainers.
During the initial phase of the program, the government is set to train 30,000 tech-savvy individuals from various regions of Nigeria over the next three months. Importantly, this opportunity is not restricted to the younger generation; individuals aged 45 and above are also encouraged to apply.
This endeavor presents a unique chance to be part of the vanguard in Nigeria’s National Digital Transformation journey. As the demand for tech talents continues to surge both nationally and globally, with commensurate lucrative compensation, this program offers an avenue for individuals and organizations to actively participate in the nation’s digital renaissance.
