The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, and the Zazzau Emir, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamali, separately visited the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja. These visits were made to show their support for the Nigerian Armed Forces. The Ona of Abaji, Alhaji Adamu Baba, also expressed a similar view during his visit.

Ambassador Bamali’s visit was in return for the CDS’s earlier visit to Zaria, where he consoled the emirate for a tragic incident at the Zaria Central Mosque. Ambassador Bamali praised the CDS for his foresight and prayed for the success of the Armed Forces in their operations, commending them for maintaining peace in the country. He emphasized the need for collective efforts in the fight against insecurity and expressed the commitment of his people to support the CDS.

The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Bayero, led other emirate chiefs to the Defence Headquarters and lauded the CDS for his past contributions while serving in Kano and Jigawa states. He expressed confidence in the CDS’s abilities and pledged support from both himself and traditional leaders in Kano State.

General Musa appreciated the Emirs’ visits and stressed the importance of their support in addressing the nation’s security challenges. He assured them that the military is on the path to overcoming these issues and highlighted the importance of peace for the nation’s development. General Musa believed that their visits would boost troop morale and motivate them to work diligently for a more secure Nigeria.

In response to the Emir of Zazzau, General Musa expressed gratitude for the visit and reassured Nigerians of the military’s commitment to tackling insecurity. He promised to address security concerns in Zaria and other troubled parts of the nation. General Musa also thanked the Emir and the people of Kano for their resilience in the face of security challenges.

The Ona of Abaji, Alhaji Adamu Baba, raised concerns about rising criminality in Abuja, particularly incidents involving “one chance” criminals. General Musa thanked the traditional rulers and stressed the importance of community policing and encouraging citizens to report suspicious activities to enable decisive action against criminality.
