Inter Miami will meet Charlotte FC in its final matchup on Saturday after failing to advance to the MLS playoffs.
There were rumors that Messi could go back on loan to Europe during the MLS postseason break in order to maintain his match fitness because the former Barcelona star is set to play for Argentina in World Cup qualifiers in November.
However, after Inter Miami failed to make the playoffs in December [between the MLS seasons of 2023 and 2024], when asked if he was considering playing for another team.
